What our customers say
My 15yr old daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful time during our experience with Saeko. Saeko is a warm human being and it was a pleasure to participate in her cooking class. The instructions were clear and we learned so much from her regarding flavours, ingredients and culture. My daughter an I take cookery classes on our extensive travels and this beats all of them (even pasta and tiramasu making in Italy!!) I know we will be back for more classes in the future and highly recommend her class.
This was a wonderful and wholesome experience. Saeko welcomed us into her inviting home, gave great instructions and was a very kind and patient person. I could definitely see myself using these recipes at home and it was great to learn how to roll sushi correctly. My partner and I did this class together with another two Australians so there were four of us in total. We would recommend!
I had the pleasure to take part of a private class today. In addition to the normal lesson of ramen and gyosa making I also asked to learn and improve my knowledge about miso, tofu and Koji. I’m an Italian chef with more than 10 years of experience around the world but I’ve been impressed by her. She has been very professional, since 10am we made tofu from scratch, she gave me a very good explanation regarding koji and we also make miso. Everything has been explained clearly, she also provided different kind of miso and koji to taste! At the end of the experience I also take away the miso that we made. Also the ramen and gyosa that she teach me was very delicious!!! Very recommendable experience for who want to learn from the beginning or improve your knowledge. Has been a useful experience! Thank you very much!!!
The course was really great! The hostess really thought through and planned everything. For example, she had printed out information material about the ingredients and was able to explain to us immediately what the different colors of miso are all about. The recipe she taught us and printed out tasted great. The printed instructions for cooking at home are also more detailed than anything I have ever received in cooking courses. The cooking course was definitely one of our biggest highlights in Japan!
Saeko great, from giving direction and escorting us from the station through whole workshop, she showed us basics of putting together a parfait desserts and explained different ingredients for making different types of mochi, she was very kind and created a pleasant, memorable experience for us.
